Hugh Mansfield
Hugh Mansfield is an artificial intelligence (AI) governance consultant with more than 12 years of experience in the design and implementation of AI frameworks and models. He leads Bizcom, an AI governance consulting firm that supports organizations in implementing regulatory and responsible AI frameworks and in monitoring and oversight.
Mansfield is an industry expert in AI governance, risk and compliance. He holds a Master of Laws in Innovation, Law and Technology from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law and is accredited as an ISO 42001 Senior Implementer in artificial intelligence governance. He also holds the Certified Information Privacy Professional (Canada) designation from the International Association of Privacy Professionals.
He serves as an adjunct faculty member at Osgoode Law School at York University, where he teaches Data Privacy and AI Incident Response. Mansfield also sits on the advisory board of the Digital Governance Standards Institute of Canada, where he serves on the ethics and technical committees. He also serves on the marketing committee of the AI Safety Foundation of Canada. He previously served as a founding advisory board member of the University of Toronto Master of Management Analytics program at Rotman School of Management.
